Róbert Farkas, the visionary behind HuneyPuffs, has spent 30 years among the hives. He learned the craft at his grandfather’s side, discovering early on that beekeeping is a lifelong study in humility. But lately, the craft has faced a harsh new reality. With the market flooded by cheap, questionable imports, high-quality local honey is often left unsold, with prices dropping below the very cost of production. Refusing to let his liquid gold go to waste, Róbert drew on three decades of experience and a deep respect for his bees to find a new way forward. After years of experimentation to transform his unsold honey into something extraordinary, HuneyPuffs were born - a modern tribute to an ancient tradition.

Small-scale producers make up 88% of the Hungarian honey industry, keeping ancient traditions alive through family-run apiaries. Huneybee is a proud part of this legacy. Our journey to create HuneyPuffs was a six-month labor of love, involving 100kg of honey and the combined talents of our entire family. While Róbert brought decades of beekeeping expertise, his wife’s background in the food industry was the missing piece of the puzzle, providing the technical foundation we needed to launch. Their children have been just as vital: Ákos used his creative eye to craft our unique brand identity, while Dóra’s holistic vision shapes our long-term strategy and social responsibility. What started as a humble attempt to save our unsold honey turned into something much bigger. After a year of incredible feedback at local farmers' markets, the overwhelming love from our community gave us the courage to share our dream with the world.
